If your department requires standardized test score=
s such as the TOEFL and/or the GRE, you must have these scores before the I=
IE deadline of September 30, 2011. You will be required to upload a copy of=
your standardized test scores to our online application. Be sure to prepar=
e and take the test in advance and give yourself plenty of time to prepare =
before all deadlines.
How should I prepare for the GRE (=
Graduate Record Exam) or the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)?
The GRE and GMAT standardized tests are not simple =
tests that should be taken without proper preparation. Depending on the tes=
t taker’s ability, proper test preparation could range anywhere from =
two to twelve months (or more) of study/preparation time and work/universit=
y/family schedule. Some test takers opt to study using study guide books, o=
nline preparation courses or in-person/classroom courses. The cost of prepa=
ring for such tests will vary in cost. Specialized test preparation courses=
may cost more than purchasing study guide books, but there are a number of=
free test preparation guides online. Please visit the following website fo=

est preparation software that is downloadable.
How much does it cost to take the =

The GRE test costs approximately US $180 and the GMAT cos=
ts approximately US $250. Other fees can be added for additional services, =
but may not be necessary.
How do I pay the university application =
fee?
If you are submitting the admissions application fo=
rm online, you will be required to pay for the application fee with a credi=
t card (VISA, MasterCard, etc). It may be possible to obtain a limited cred=
it card from your bank for the sole purpose of paying for the online applic=
ation fee. Please check with your bank for further details. If you wish to =
submit a paper admissions application (if this is an option), you would nee=
d to mail a bank check with the admissions application to the university=
217;s designated address.

No. You do not have to work for the Egyptian govern=
ment after graduation. You may be offered a job by one of the ministries or=
other institutions, but you are free to decline the job offer. However, yo=
u are still required to fulfill the “public service” commitment=
that accompanies the fellowship. This can be accomplished by advising or c=
onsulting on a government project (while maintaining a private sector job) =
or working in a private sector job which is directly related to public serv=
ice in Egypt.
Am I guaranteed IIE support servic=
es if I am applying for Harvard University and the Arab Republic of Egypt P=
ublic Service Fellowship?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of interested applicants, IIE is only =
able to provide specialized workshops to a certain number of applicants. Wo=
rkshop selection is based on academic achievements, standardized test score=
s, field of research and/or other mitigating factors that make an applicant=
